

She was born in Bogota, Colombia on October 1, 1925. Her parents were Julio Ponce de Leon and Elvira Paris.
She studied and worked as an accountant until she married her husband of 74 years, after that she dedicated her life to raising her family.
She was tenacious and never gave up on anything, had a great sense of fashion and she was a great storyteller. She was known for her infectious laugh and her wicked sense of humor. She was always a great and loyal friend.
She loved to travel, embroidery and crochet, cross word puzzles, playing cards and Yahtzee and always won. She loved her walks till the end.
Cecilia was charitable from a young age when she started a life long donation to Los Padres Salesianos. She sponsored needy children, donated to St. Jude’s Hospital for Children and later to Mercy Ships. She was known for her generosity to her family in times of need.
She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Alvaro Morales. Her children Santiago and Alba Lucia Morales, Maria Cecila Morales, Alvaro (Golis) and Marcela Morales, Andres and Clara Ines Morales, and Adriana and Leon De La Cruz. Beloved 14grandchildren, her greatest joy was to live to love and enjoy her 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Luz Angela and her 9 brothers and sisters. She was the last of a strong and incredible legacy.
Join us in her Celebration of Life will be held on January 22, 2026, starting with Funeral Holly Mass at 10: 00 AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 12600 Marsfield Avenue, Hunter’s Creek, Florida followed by a Viewing and Visitation at Family Funeral Home, 13001 South John Young Parkway, Hunter’s Creek, Florida from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
