

Dan Heep, 77, of Orlando, FL died surrounded by family on August 12, 2012 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Born June 16, 1935, in Wilkinsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Dan and Jean Heep.
Dan spent his early career working for Westinghouse in Pittsburgh, PA and Jacksonville, FL. He and his family relocated to Orlando in 1984. He retired from Martin Marietta in 1992.
Dan’s biggest passions were his family, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, playing and watching basketball, and running. Dan’s most recent passions included volunteering at Give Kids the World, cruising, and Disney where he worked at the EPSN Wide World of Sports.
Dan is survived by his wife of 52 years, Yvonne Heep; 3 daughters, Marcie Merz, Dana (Bobby) Doyle, and Heather (Steve) Havey; 4 grandchildren, Robby and Olivia Doyle and Colin and Emma Havey; and brother, Tom Heep.
A celebration of his life will take place at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Windermere, FL on Friday, August 17th at 2:30pm.
