Because Don touched all of our lives, this web page is to honor one of the nicest guys we’ll ever know. Don was born in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains in a small town called Adams in western Massachusetts in 1946. He was an only child and moved to Orlando with his parents in 1957. He attended Colonial High School, graduating in 1964. During his high school days, he fell in love with cars and playing guitar. He was a member of a local band into his early college years in Gainesville. First married in 1969, he went into the Air Force and served our country in Viet Nam. His only child, Kimberly, was born in 1971. Upon his return home, he began working as an engineering draftsman. He loved the precision and mathematics involved. He always had a strong work ethic and took pride in what he did. He progressed from draftsman, to designer, then to project manager during his 38 years in engineering. However, he always preferred to do his own drafting. He attended UCF during the 70’s and graduated with a BA in General Studies. He was very proud to graduate and be an alumnus. Married the second time in 1990, he was still playing guitar and assembled quite a collection of both acoustic and electric guitars. During the past year, he began to buy guitars on the internet, fix them up and resell them for a small profit. He thoroughly enjoyed doing that. Don was a wonderful, generous man who was devoted to his mother, his daughter and his wife. We’ll always remember his great smile and fantastic sense of humor. Don, you will be missed!
