A woman of extreme strength, courage and love,

Grandma,

I miss you so much. Even though I know you are in a much better place, this still isnt fair. You were taken too early from us. Im so thankful for all of the memories I have with you. I still remember going to you and paps after I had my bike accident. All the disney trips, going to your house in NC, and you guys coming up to see us. I wish I had taken more time from work to spend with you while you were here. I am very thankful Jace and Albin had a chance to meet you. They loved seeing you and pap (even if Albin acted otherwise haha). tell all of your family I never had a chance to meet hello for me. I will see you later, for sure, so no good byes from me. I love you grandma!

It's very difficult reading all of these heartfelt messages, and much more difficult to write.  It makes it all too real. I've always worried about, and dreaded the day I'd lose a parent. It's very surreal to wake up one day and realize you no longer have a mom.  Unfortunately, we all too often take them for granted when they're here, but they can be gone in the blink of an eye.  I thank God for all the memories I have of you mom, some of my fondest are the trips you, me and dad used to make to go visit Deb in VA.  And I'm so glad we went to see Triumphant Quartet with you and dad.  I'll never forget how happy you were when you saw how much I loved them! Even though it breaks our hearts to not have you here with us anymore, we know you are in the best of hands up there and that you are surely looking down at us thinking why all the tears because you've gone home and we will all see you again one day. Love you mom!

Edith lived across the street from me and Larry, he passed and I had to move. She was wonderful. I kept up the relationship with her and Don. It has been such a shock to me. I just feel she is in God's hands.

You will forever be in my heart. God has chosen you for an angel what a wonderful choice he made. But we are all lost without you, I pray he gives us all the courage to accept his decision and that Pap will find his way without you in his life he is strong and I know you will send more strength to him from heaven.  He loved you sooo much and all of your family loved you!!! I am a better person because of you, you taught my mom how to be a wonderful person which she has passed down to me and I continue to pass down to my children.  Life without you is going to be hard and I will one day see you again waiting for me at the golden gates of heaven.  I love u forever

Don and family: Edith's death was such a surprise. Praying for God's strength
 and grace to carry you through in the days to come. It has been 7 yrs. since I lost Bert and 3 yrs. since I lost Peg. I miss them so much every day and it is only God that has brought me thus far. He will give you the comfort you need. Love and hugs to all of you from us in Ellwood City, Pa.

To all the Hazens...Ted and I are so very sorry for the loss of your mom. And Dons best friend and wife. Without having her and all of you in my life all those years ago I would have never been blessed with my baby Brandi. And for that I will be forever grateful to Edith and Don.

Mom, I don't even know where to start with this....I have a gaping hole in my heart that I don't think time will ever heal completely. I love you so much and life without you in it is unthinkable....it wasn't supposed to be like this-we thought you had so much life to live yet......I'm trying to be strong the way I know you'd want me to be, some days I half-way succeed, many others I just walk around in a daze....I've lost my friend, my confidant, my safe place...and I am lost. At least I know you're in Heaven where all the angels belong....just wish you could've stayed longer in this world. I'll love you forever.....and I'll try to heal from this awful pain of losing you.
