

He attended DeWitt Clinton High School and later earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology from Queens College, Flushing, NY. Edward served in the U.S. Army from July 1943 to March 1946. He served in North Africa, India and Burma. As a member of the 849th Engineer Battalion he was among the many men that built the Ledo Road.
Edward met the love of his life, Icylyn Holness in Washington, DC in 1951. Their marriage lasted 65 years. Upon returning to civilian life he worked for 32 years for the New York City Department of Purchase before retiring to Orlando. He enjoyed many of the Village Club activities to include Swimming, Tennis, Square Dancing, and Social Dancing. He served on the Village Board of Directors and as a member of the Neighborhood Patrol.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Icylyn, his son Dave, all of his family and many longtime friends.
Graveside Services are April 21, at 2:30pm at Cape Canaveral Cemetery, 5525 US Highway 1, Mims, FL 32754
