Jean “Jeannie” W. Marchetti, of Belle Isle, Florida and formerly of Orlando, passed away on August 15, 2025. She was born in Homestead, Florida on December 19, 1938 to the late Charles and Margurite Woolley. Mr. Woolley subsequently married the late Clara Clay. Jeannie grew up in New Smyrna Beach and attended Faulkner Street Elementary School and graduated from St. Paul’sCatholic High School in Daytona Beach. As a child she loved finding adventure, mischief, and spending time at the beach with her sisters Patricia Woolley Parrish, Carolyn Woolley Corbe and Alice Clay Benedict. She also enjoyed playing cards and reading books. In 1973, she married Alfred “Fred” Marchetti.
Jeannie graduated from Rollins College and earned her bachelors and master's degree in childhood education. She taught at elementary schools in Port Orange and Orlando, Florida. Jeannie and Fred traveled extensively and on a trip to Italy they visited the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi.
Jeannie is survived by her loving husband Fred, daughters Mary Beth Godwin (Dennis),Teresa Bogle, and Linda Marchetti and son Louis Marchetti. She is preceded in death by her sons Patrick and John Cory, and Alfred and Anthony Marchetti. She is loved and will be missed by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
