Josephine was born in Manhattan New York to Joseph Tumminello and Caterina Tumminello. She spent her younger years at St. Joseph’s Orphanage in Brooklyn after her mother’s passing. She had four other siblings Tessie, Jennie, Concetta, and Anthony.
She met Albert Ammirato and was married to him for 72 years, raising 5 children Connie, Louis, Kathy, Nancee, and Alice. They all lived in Hicksville, Long Island, New York until they decided to move on to Orlando, Florida to make their home there.
Thru out her life she dedicated herself to her family and home. She was very creative making loving additions to the home. She was an excellent cook and had a wide range of recipes that she passed on to her children. Her children’s life goals were very important to her which she supported and celebrated their success. She made it the warmest happiest and loving home anyone could hope for.
She gave love to everyone and was surrounded by love. But it was her laughter and wonderful sense of fun that shone throughout her life.
Josephine will be very sadly missed by all who loved her. She was the one who lit up the room.
She is survived by her 4 children Connie and partner Paul, Louis, Kathy and partner Gary, Nancee, and husband Patrick, grandchildren Ross and wife Jacqueline, Jennifer and husband David, Brel, Taran and wife Hillary, great grandchildren Jonathan, Zachary, Maisie and Kayce.
