Lou E. Carruth, known as Boots, was born in Louisiana on January 14, 1926 and died March 16, 2016. Boots was a longtime friend of the Yarborough family including Polly Merritt (deceased) and her caregivers Jim and Mary Dot Courtney. Boots was employed by Southern Bell initially as a telephone operator and later as a chief operator. She enjoyed playing softball for many years and was a fan of the Atlanta Braves baseball team. She loved going to the beach especially with her nieces, nephews and young friends to splash in the waves. In later years she enjoyed playing card and domino games with her many friends. Boots always enjoyed a party and was fond of baking cookies for friends. She was active most of her life in the Baptist Churches in Central Florida.She was preceded in death by her parents, Laura and Luther Carruth, as well as all of her six siblings. She Is survived by a sister-in-law and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements under the direction of Family Funeral Care, Orlando, FL.
