He was born in Philadelphia, PA and grew up in Southern New Jersey working on his family's farm with his parents, Angelo and Amelia and 5 older siblings.
Lou met the love of his life, Brenda Marino, at Paulsboro High School 75 years ago. They married on November 8, 1952.
Together they raised 5 children: Linda (John Huff); Deborah (Allen Sanchez); Louis/Dutch (Ginger); Lori (Louis Borrelli); Wayne (Caren); 10 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren.
Lou and Brenda moved their family of 7 to South FL in 1961 mostly due to the beautiful weather and opportunities in a brand-new community.
He was "Lou the Baker" throughout the 1960's and 1970 and the UPS Man during the 1970's until his retirement in the 2000's.
Louis was a devout Catholic with a deep love of the Blessed Mother. He ushered at St. Stephen's and St. David Churches from the 1960's until he relocated in 2022 to Central Florida to be closer to more family.
Lou loved sports...playing, coaching, and as a spectator (especially watching his children and grandchildren.) He lettered in 3 sports at Paulsboro High School-Basketball, football, and baseball. Later, he played tennis. scuba-dived, and fished. During his retirement he spent time creating unique woodworking crafts for family and friends. Every holiday has his decorative touch.
He had an incredible work ethic and was always the first to offer and lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Lou lived his Christian beliefs as a shining example to be kind to everyone, wearing his smile like a beacon to all who he came in contact.
His legacy is the close family he and Brenda raised; to always be there to love and care for each other especially his forever love.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
