Luz "Lucy" S. Rodriguez Muñoz

Luz “Lucy” Rodriguez-Muñoz was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico and pass in Orlando, Florida at the age of 69. She was the eldest daughter of Jose Munoz and Luisa Vega’s eight children. Lucy was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She lived her life “in the moment” choosing not to dwell on the past or worry about the future. She believed that each day was a gift and that we should live life to the fullest. Lucy was also very successful professionally and after receiving an Associate Degree from the University of Puerto Rico, she began her career as an entry-level secretary with Banco Popular. She quickly rose through the ranks and eventually served as the Executive Administrative Assistant to the President and CEO of Banco Popular, Mr. Richard Carrion. Lucy’s work ethic, personality and zest for life endeared her to those around her. She was loved and admired by many and served as a role model to both family and friends. Lucy is survived by her husband of 43 years, Pedro Rodriguez; her two children, Gina McLaughlin and Pedro Rodriguez; and her five grandchildren - Vanessa, Hannah, Mac, Mia and Pedro. Her presence and love will be forever missed.
