Mary Virginia Wolfe Handley passed away in the early hours of April 27th, a few days short of her 60th wedding anniversary and her 83rd birthday. A native Orlandoan, Mary Virginia was born on May 21st, 1930, to Isabelle Bird Wolfe and Claude H. Wolfe in Orange Memorial Hospital. The quintessential Southern lady, she spent her life rearing her four children and being a gracious homemaker, wife and mother. A graduate of Florida State University, she was an active member of Pi Beta Phi, the Antiquarian Society, the Rosalind Club, and was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church of Orlando. Loved by all who knew her, her passing was accomplished with the same grace and beauty that defined her life. She will be sorely missed by her adoring family and a host of friends. She is survived by husband, Leon H. Handley, son Hunter (Beate) Handley, daughters Mary Ellen (Cliff) Adams, Laura (Walt) Tappan, Leann Handley, 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and brother Claude H.
