there's so much i wish i could say to you. so much i wish i didn't have to write. if there was anything i could ever do to have you back, i would do it without hesitation. if i could be able to tell you i loved you one last time, i would it without a second thought. one thing that helps ease the pain, is that the last thing i told you, was that i loved you. you knew i loved you, and i was blessed to be loved by you. fifteen years you've held a special place in my heart, and that will continue on in me forever. to be able to feel the love and care you provided was always something special. if i was asked what is one thing you represented, it would be selflessness. you never failed at putting others before yourself, no matter the situation. you and your spirit were beautiful. you never failed to go the extra mile to be there for someone. you wanted the best for everyone, and i admire that completely. no one gets how much i'm going to miss your voice. all the love you held in it. i'll miss the talks we had, miss the laughs we shared. a piece of me has gone with you, and living without you will never be the same. i love you, i'll always love you. thank you for being my family, a friend, and someone i loved so dearly. i don't know how i'm going to be okay, but it's all you'd want. be so good, and happy. i'm more than thankful you're okay now, no more pain. you're one the strongest i know, i love you forever.

Still unbelievable, and heartbreaking to know I can no longer go see my Mary anymore:( You were the grandmother I never had Mary, You changed my diapers and I'll never forget how you would always sit on the porch and watch me punt a football or play basketball, and even run around like a chicken without a head, you told me everyday you seen me how you know that I am going to go somewhere big and How any female would be lucky to call themselves my wife when I get older because of my will to work hard, and I remember building those cement steps and walkway with papa Joe and how He took me and caught my first bass!! I remember I was so determined to by myself a new pair of playing shoes you let me cut your front lawn every couple weeks to make 5$ and you know how much I love cutting grass lol, I don't know how I'm going to live the rest of my life without those special homemade waffle cookies you made for me so much probably every time I asked, I love and miss you Mary, and nor will I ever forget you, until we meet again❤

Don't even know where to start...
You were a mother, aunt, nanny and friend to the whole neighborhood... Everyone has always come to you for a piece of advice, shelter, laughs and your pot roast...  You've brought up most of the kids around... You've helped us all without hesitation. Even though, you've been battling with that disease your whole life, you stood strong, not showing it... 
I believe, you were happy. With a great man by your side. 
You and Joe are the true definition of a great marriage. He stood by you 'till the end and that is what matters the most. 
I am privileged, I had a chance to know you and thankful for all you've done for me.. Because without you and Joe, I wouldn't be where I am!
One day, we all meet again. Until then... Rest In Peace..

RIP Mary, I will always remember all those life lesson conversations on the front porch. May you be in peace now with no more pain. Bobbie she will be your Guardian Angel and always will be with you... Give your family my regards.

my prayers and thoughts are with you all. I know the pain you are all feeling and I wish I could say it gets easier but it doesn't... all I can say is keep your heads held high and know Mary is watching over all of you and proud of her family! Love you all.

Not sure what I'm going to do without you now.  I lived everyday to make you proud. I know we have our own special relationship just between us. Anything good in me is because of you. What gives me any kind of peace is knowing that I am you! Exactly like you. I had 35 perfect years because of you. I never had to worry about one thing because I always had my mom. You're who id call in the middle of the night for no reason, just to talk about random stuff like getting my period  ( or not getting it) Lol! , youre the only person I've never lied to,and the person who made me completely confident in who i am. I was never like my sister & brother,& you knew that, because i am exactly  like you...down to your whitty sense of humor & expressed opinions with zero filter ! You are, and always will be my best friend and the biggest part of me. I remember the things you told me you expect when you go, and I will do everything I can to make sure that i make you proud. I love you.

I am so sorry for all of you,but so happy for Mary.  She is out of pain and resting with our Lord.  May He comfort all of you.

Mary Anne was family and a servant to all.  Her nurturing nature to all in need was amazing. To all those that experienced this from her you were blessed. She was like a mother to her younger siblings as she held the Butler family together

Wednesday morning you said you were okay and that you felt good. At 4:50 that same day, you wouldn't wake up. Everyone came over and saw you and everyone was crying. You're so beautiful nana. I can't even believe that this happened so fast. I love you so much. The bright side is, you're not in pain anymore. You've been sick your whole life and these last couple of months have been rough. Everyone thought you were getting better. A piece of me is lost now. I'll miss you so much nana. I love you. - Nicole
