During his illness, Mike spent a lot of time at Orlando Regional Medical Center where he was hospitalized multiple times and also received his chemo and radiation therapy at the UF (University of Florida) Cancer Center located there. He was a big animal lover, and ORMC's Paws for Hope Pet Therapy Program brought him so much comfort and joy during his many stays there. He looked forward to the visits from the volunteers and their dogs, which really lifted his spirits, and chose Paws for Hope as the charity he would like others to support in his memory.
Donations can be made through their website at https://www.orlandohealth.com/volunteer-services/pet-therapy-program
