Rafael Gallego Jr.

RAFAEL GALLEGO went to be with our Lord Jesus on Wednesday, February 16, 2011. Rafael was born in Cidra, Puerto Rico on January 14, 1924 and moved to Orlando, Florida in 1982. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Maria; his son Gilberto, Florida (granddaughter Teresa, Maryland); his daughter, Yolanda Bornman, (son-in-law, John, grandchildren, Anne Marie and Jack) (Florida); sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews in the states of Illinois, Missouri and Tennessee. Rafael will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was known for his shy smile, gentle spirit and compassionate heart.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Samaritan Care Hospice; especially, Evelyn, his nurse, and Marlen, his social worker. Their entire staff treated him with the utmost respect and compassion and assisted all of us in making this journey with dignity. We would also like to thank his doctor, Kenneth Lim and the entire staff of JSA Medical Group for their kindness and compassion during his tenure as their patient. We will always feel very blessed and thankful to have had these “Angels of Mercy” in this “Labor of Love”.
