Rita Marie McCabe Ferrell, age 65, of Kissimmee, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2022. Her family was by her side when she took her final breath. Rita was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and the most amazing person you would ever meet. We find comfort knowing she is no longer suffering or in any pain. She was so strong, and she battled Crohn's Disease for half of her life. This disease would make even the strongest of people crumble in pain. Still, she never let the pain stop her, and she was always there for her family. Rita was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 21, 1956, to Mary T. & John Henry McCabe Sr. Rita enjoyed reading, watching TV, country music, Football (Go Eagles!), Godiva chocolate, eating pizza with a knife and fork, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. They vacationed every year in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She loved trying new things and always looked for those little mom-and-pop eateries. She always said that they had the best food. She loved her job and liked to volunteer wherever needed. Rita moved to Florida in the ’80s with her best friend, Annemarie, and she started a multi-decade adventure at Disney (Legal Office Administrator). There she met her soulmate, Tony. Their romance was one for the ages, and they got married in March of 1996. They wanted a family, but they could not have one naturally. So they adopted the most precious of children, William (Will), Maggie (Axo), Maka & Chau. Rita is preceded in death by her parents, Mary T. & John Henry Mc Cabe Sr., siblings: Loretta, John, Ceil, Laura, and Nick. Rita is survived by her husband of 28 years, Tony (Rita), her children: Will, Maggie, Maka Shioshvili Wellons (Rick) & Chau Quy Diem Tran (Quan), and her brother Jim. Grandchildren: Gabriel Rezi Wellons, Rosiland Chau Tran, Winston Nam Tran & Oswald.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Family Funeral Care, Orlando, Fl.
