

Ruby Gloria Steinfeld (Nee Eisner) Orlando, Florida, passed away on September 4th, 2015 following a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s at the Hunters Creek Nursing Home. She was born on January 7th, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Louis and Rose Eisner. She grew up in Dover, NJ and was a graduate of Dover High School. She is also a graduate of New Jersey State Teachers College and then began her long rewarding career as a Kindergarten Teacher at the Franklin School in Succasunna, NJ. She retired in 1993 from the Roxbury Board of Education. Upon retiring, she moved to Orlando, Florida where she spent the next several years as a substitute teacher at Hunters Creek Elementary School. Ruby is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Gerald, Three Sons Scott (Hildy Winter) of Orlando, Florida, Allen (Loreen) of Sarasota, Florida and Robert (Dean Hanson) of Tampa, Florida. She is also survived by her three grandchildren that she adored Richard, Connor and Kevin. Ruby also known as Rubela and Ruby-Doobie was well loved by all of her family and friends because of her gentle, loving and kind heart. Ruby always put others before herself and always enjoyed making her house into a home by entertaining others. Ruby loved everyone that she met and everyone she met loved Ruby She had a wonderful sense of humor all the way to the end and was very popular amongst her care givers because they never knew what she would say next. In addition, to her passion and love for teaching she greatly enjoyed the time she spent with her family as well as travel, theater, music and attending temple services. Services will be conducted on Sunday, at 11am at Family Funeral Care, 13001 S. John Young Parkway, Orlando, FL 32831. Family will receive friends from 10am till time of service at the funeral home.
