She was born in Sand Mountain, Jackson, Alabama on August 23, 1923, to Savory and Naomi King Rogers. She was an active member of Sanctuary Church of God. Sarah was a homemaker. She loved children and took care of many children in her home all of whom called her granny. Sarah's greatest loves were praying to her Lord and Savior, daily reading her Bible, family and friends, sewing, fishing, flowers and gardening. She was an excellent cook and many friends enjoyed Saturday and Sunday dinners at her home. And who could refuse a cup of coffee and her homemade cakes and pies after church on Sunday nights. She made everyone's life brighter through her presence and we pray that God will comfort her friends and family. She is gone but never forgotten....she is forever in our hearts.
