

Skip Martin, 64, of Belle Isle, Florida passed away on January 8, 2015. He was born to the late Douglas and Barbara Martin on December 25, 1950 in South Carolina. Skippy grew up with his siblings in Cocoa Beach, Florida and loved the ocean. He was a champion surfer, and a part of the Hobie team that was inducted into the Surfing Hall of Fame. Skippy loved his dogs, and treated them as his children. He loved flying large model airplanes and was a WWII buff. He worked as a brick and block mason. Skippy will be genuinely missed by those who knew and loved him. He was preceded in his passing by his parents and sister, Susan Murphy. Skippy is survived by his sisters Billie Bosser and Ellen Berry; brother Thornton “Tony” Martin; nieces Jennifer Principe, Michelle Smith, Denise Hardesty, Nicole Martinez, Teasha Alaniz, and Sterling Martin; nephew Brian Murphy; and many other close family and friends. A Celebration of Skippy’s Life will be held on Sunday, February 8 at 3pm Baldwin Fairchild Conway Chapel, 1413 S Semoran Blvd, Orlando, FL 32806.
