Born in Worcester, MA, he was the beloved son of the late Richard and Jane (Sheridan) Miller. Steven was raised in Whitman, MA, and was a 1977 graduate of Whitman-Hanson Regional High School.
A man who loved working with his hands and a true artist at heart, he spent over 35 years working as a licensed master plumber. Upon his retirement in 2023, he had been managing his own plumbing contractor business for 8 successful years in the greater Tampa Bay Area. He could always be counted on to help out a friend, family member, or neighbor in a plumbing crisis no matter the time of day.
Affectionately known as Scoobs by those who knew him best, Steve loved spending time with his loved ones. He always looked forward to the annual family trips planned with his extended family. Despite his busy work schedule, he made time every Saturday night to take his wife out to dinner at one of their favorite local restaurants. His daughter meant the world to him and there wasn’t a dance recital, talent show, soccer or softball game, or graduation that he missed over the years. No matter how well he knew you, he could always be counted on to crack a joke and charm you into a smile.
He spent much of his life playing recreational softball and hockey. A lifelong hockey fan, a highlight of every year was the annual Tampa Bay Lightning game he would attend in the spring with his daughter, always reminding everyone that he could “still keep up with those guys down there.”
Steve is survived by his wife of 41 years, Tina (Terrio) Miller, along with his daughter Meaghan Miller of Orlando, FL. He is also survived by his younger brother, Gary Miller and his wife, Dianne of Lakeville, MA, his older brother, Brian Miller and his wife, Elizabeth of Dover, NH, his nephews, Sean Miller and Aidan Miller, his niece Jessica Miller, along with cousins, many other nieces and nephews, and dear friends.
Everyone is invited to join the family for a Celebration of Life and Memorial Service on Saturday, January 18th at Family Funeral Care, 13001 South John Young Parkway, Orlando, FL 32837. Celebration to begin at 2:00 PM with service to begin at 3:00 PM.
