Sue Tanner was born in Elliott, Iowa. She was raised an only child on a farm by her parents, Neal and MayDelle Buss. She married in 1961 and had three children: Ricky, Scott, and Tami. In 1967, she moved with her family to Orlando, Florida, where she made her home. She was later married to Joe Tanner; they remained married for 31 years until his passing in 2007. She worked for the Orlando Utilities Commission and retired after 25 years of service as a customer service representative. She and Joe retired on the St. Johns River in Astor, Florida. Sue was a member of First Baptist Church of Astor. She is survived by her children: Rick Anderson, wife Sharon, children Kevin and Sara; Scott Anderson, wife Lisa, children Kacie and Livia, all of Orlando; and Tami Webb, husband David, children Alex, Andrew and Ben of Tennessee. Throughout her life, she had a love for her friends, a love for her husband, a love for her children and grandchildren, and a love for her Savior, which gives the hope and reassurance that we will one day see her again. There are many words that describe her: beautiful, kind, gentle, but the one that describes her most and what I hope she is remembered for is love.
