William Kent Ruffing, 85, of Orlando Florida, passed away 18 December 2024. .

He was born in Worland, Wyoming on 27 November 1939. Bill graduated from Basin High School in Basin, Wyoming and received Bachelor of Science Degree from University of Wyoming and a Masters degree in Business from Wright State University.

He was married to Vaive Kalnietis on 22 October 1966. They had two sons, Kent and Kyle.

Bill had a career in Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Contract Management for The United States Air Force, NASA, Cooper Energy Services, United Aircraft Products, Martin Marietta, and Lockheed Martin and had a passion for farming, religious studies and walking his dogs. He was most proud that “a boy from Wyoming could train astronauts.” He was very proud of his book “For the Love of God". He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Charles.

He is survived by his two older brothers, two younger sisters, ex-wife, and two sons.

Funeral arrangements will be held at 10:00 am, Sunday, 30 December 2024, at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida .
