Died on December 31, 2014 in Chatham, MA after a long illness.
He was born and raised in Washington, DC where he attended George Washington and American Universities.
During the Korean Conflict Pete served in the United States Marine Corps as a Drill Instructor at Parris Island, SC.
He was a sales manager in the life insurance and home building industries in Washington, DC and Maryland, residing in Louisville, Kentucky for many years before retiring to Wellfleet on Cape Cod with his wife, Arleen.
Pete loved his baseball games, the New York Times, his walks on the beach and the early morning sunrises at the various beaches in Wellfleet. He was known for many years for his penchant for very fine, large dark cigars which he seemingly was never without. A voracious reader with his beloved pets by his side.
He is survived by his wife Arleen of Wellfleet, his daughter Janet (fiance, Steve Reissig), and son, Steven all of Louisville, Kentucky, sister and brother-in-law Sandra and Robert Holtzman of St. Petersburg, Florida, a niece, Jana, and two nephews, Scott and Robert (Christine) also of Florida.
Memorial service at 11 AM on Monday, January 12th at Nickerson Funeral Home in Wellfleet, MA with family visitation at 10:30 AM.
