Corinne McDonald

Born in Springfield MA in 1931 to the late Catherine and Camillo Valenti, she graduated from Technical High School and worked as a dental assistant. Her husband’s hotel career took them to many cities and Corinne’s outgoing personality and sense of humor made them many long lasting friendships.

Retirement brought them to the Cape, nearer to family and a new set of friends. Corinne enjoyed volunteering at St. Joan of Arc Thrift Shop, serving meals at the Orleans Council On Aging and working with the Art at Orleans Senior Center. Her love of sketching and painting led her to enter the AOSC shows as well as hostess at them. She was proud of her Italian heritage and enjoyed cooking family recipes at holidays and for friends. She was a member of the Orleans branch of the Cape Cod Hospital Auxiliary.

She was a loving, Mother, Grandmother and Sister. She is survived by her daughter Gail Peres and her husband Edmond of Ft. Myers, FL, grandchildren Benjamin and Hannah Peres, a sister Jean Valenti of Orleans and predeceased by her sister Mary Morin of Springfield.

Funeral Services on April 2, 2011 at 10am will be at St. Joan of Arc Church in Orleans followed by burial in Orleans Cemetery.
