

Curtis J. Lawson (Christoff) of Framingham and East Orleans, Massachusetts died suddenly at home on May 11th. He was born in Dover, New Hampshire on December 29, 1972 and grew up in Nashua, New Hampshire where he graduated from Bishop Guertin High School in 1991. He attended the college of William and Mary, graduating in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts. After graduation, Curtis moved to Boston where he worked as a consultant at Trinity Partners in Waltham for many years. He left there in 2012 to pursue his passion in personal wellness after completing a Master’s Degree in Nutrition from Goddard College in 2011.
Curtis lived for several years in Flagstaff and Phoenix, Arizona and in 2015 he returned to the Boston area.
Curtis is survived by his mother, Mary Barton of Vero Beach, Florida and his sister, Athena Barton. He is also survived by his former wife, Alyson Morse and his loving second family, including Lorraine Morse of East Orleans, MA, his sister and brother in law, Meredith and David Sweet and his niece and nephew, Sophia and Jonathan Sweet.
He leaves behind several aunts, uncles and cousins in Connecticut who loved him dearly for his kindness and compassion.
Curtis was bright, outgoing, loving, passionate, open-hearted and trusting. He found friends easily. Despite early hardships, Curtis persisted in finding the good in other people. He sought out love in the face of adversity and had so much to offer the world.
Curtis relished being outdoors. Camping, hiking, mountain biking and walking along the Cape Cod beaches were his passion. He loved all animals, was an avid reader, music lover and cook. Curtis was a member of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to animals (ASPCA) and the Science Club. He was a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flagstaff, AZ and leaves behind his beloved little brother Bryce Hogeland, as well as many lasting friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, June 10th at 11:00 am at the Federated Church of Orleans at 162 Main Street in Orleans, MA.
