Dorchester, MA to John R. and Johanna McCarthy. David was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force from 1952 – 1957. He worked as a contractor, primarily for the city of Boston. David retired to Eastham and loved taking care of his property. He will be sorely missed. David is survived by his brothers: John and Dennis; sisters; Marylou, and Sandra. He was predeceased by his brother Richard and sisters, Josephine and Helen. Visiting hours will be on Friday, Jan. 13, 2012 from 10a – 12p, at Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans, MA with a short prayer service at 12pm. Burial will follow at MA National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
