

Loving and caring father, formerly of Weymouth and Eastham, MA as well as Vero Beach, FL, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 10 in Brewster, MA. Ed was born on Jan. 9, 1921 in Chelsea, MA to the late William & Eva (Sampson) O’Hearn of Cohasset, MA and graduated from Cohasset High School. He joined the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II and the Korean Wars. Worked as an apprentice electrician, at Fore River Shipyard, and retired as tractor/shipper from Procter & Gamble in Quincy, MA. He was married to his late wife, Esther (Johnson) O’Hearn for 55 years.
Survived by his daughters Kathryn Atwood of N. Eastham, MA, Linda Power of Plymouth, MA, and Joanne Harvey & her husband, Stephen Harvey of Rockland, MA. In addition to his daughters, he is survived by six grandchildren, and two great grandsons.
A visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 16 between 11-12:30pm at Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Parkway, Orleans, MA followed by memorial service at 12:30pm at funeral home. Burial will follow at the National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ed’s name, may be made to Alzheimer’s Services of Cape Cod, 765 Attucks Lane, Hyannis, MA 02601 or charity of your choice.
