
She was born to the late Beatrice A. and Alexander F. Turner, September 21, 1932, in Framingham, MA. She was a graduate of Framingham High School, class of 1950, and graduated from the Newton-Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing in 1953. She resided in Framingham for over 80 years until moving to the Cape full-time in 2013. She was married to Albert L. Mague for 59 years until his death in 2014.
Jackie was a Registered Nurse and worked for many years in the operating room and ambulatory care clinic at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was an active and lifelong member of the Grace Congregational United Church of Christ in Framingham, where she participated on many committees, the women’s circle, and craft groups.
She had many artistic skills including braiding and hooking rugs, knitting beautiful sweaters and socks, stenciling, and painting, often contributing them to various causes. She was a proud descendant of William Brewster and a member of the Mayflower Society. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah M., and Matthew Lee; a grandson Brendan M. Lee, an Ensign in the U.S. Navy; and her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen T. Mague and Rev. Dr. Dirkje Legerstee.
Calling hours will be held at the Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Parkway, Orleans MA on Monday, November 21st from 2:00-4:00 pm. . A memorial service, officiated by the Reverend Christine Burns, will be conducted at the funeral home following the calling hours. At a later date, she will be buried in a private ceremony at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne with Al, a U.S Navy veteran.
