

Jane Theresa (Davis) Klimshuk, 88, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, died on January 25, 2025. She passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness, in the lovely home that her husband built. We would like to thank the caregivers who provided care both inside and outside her home during her long illness.
Born and raised in Orleans, the daughter of Joseph and Bernadette Davis. A graduate of Orleans High School and Cape Cod Secretarial School. When she was younger, she worked at the Reno Diner in Orleans, owned by her father, sister and brother-in-law. She worked at Cape Cod Rubber Company, First National Bank of Cape Cod, Cape Cod Bank and Trust, as well as Athearn Marine Agency. She also was bookkeeper for her husband’s home building business. But her true vocation was as a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother.
A sweet, kind-hearted, fun and happy lady, she was always up for anything and on the go. She cherished her family and loved to spend time them. She also loved to travel, take boat, plane and car rides with her husband, visit with her wide circle of friends, go to the beach, shows, concerts and movies, bowl, bake, play games like Mexican Train, and tend to her flower garden.
She was a lifelong communicant of St. Joan of Arc church, where she volunteered in many ways over the years. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout troop leader. She volunteered at the Cape and Islands EMS Thrift Shop, where she enjoyed sharing laughs with many friends. She volunteered at the French Cable Museum, where her father and uncle were employed years ago when it was operational. She also volunteered at the polls in Orleans at election time and served as secretary on the Orleans Cemetery Association. In more recent years, she attended the Rock Harbor Respite supportive day program at the Orleans Senior Center, where she enjoyed the wonderful activities and care provided by the exceptional staff.
Predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Dorofei, siblings, Henriette, Robert, Bernard, Joseph. She leaves behind her son James Klimshuk of Brewster, and daughters Anne (Tony) Vanti of East Longmeadow, MA, and Karen (Bob) Phelan of Naples, FL, as well as four grandchildren, Kevin Klimshuk, Jenna and Jack Phelan, and Nicholas Vanti. Known by them as “Grammy,” and “Dommy,”she was always so proud of their accomplishments. She also leaves several nieces and nephews, extended family and many neighbors and friends, all of whom she held dear.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, January 30th from 4-6 pm, at Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldridge Parkway, Orleans. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, January 31st, at Saint Joan of Arc Church, 61 Canal Road, Orleans at 11am. The burial will be private.
