In loving memory of Karl D. Wiley, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother and uncle who left us on February 2,2026, at the age of 56. Karl lived life on his own terms, independent, strong-willed and unapologetically himself. He carved his own path and found comfort in the simple freedom of living life his way. He valued his space, his music, and the rhythm of a world that made sense to him.
Music was more than just sound to him-it was his heartbeat. The thunder of guitar to the raw emotion in every lyric, he found connection and escape in music he loved. Ozzy Osbourne held a special place in his world. Ozzy's voice and spirit were soundtracks to his life. Rock music reflected who he was at his core.
He will be remembered for his individuality, his quiet strength and the way he stayed true to himself no matter what. Though he walked his road independently, he was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by his family and all who knew him. Rock on dear son & brother. May the music greet you and may you find peace in the eternal encore.
He is survived by his mother Suzanne Berbick and stepfather Reginald Clark, both from Tennessee, two sisters, Dawn Joseph of Brewster and Kate Alderman of Tennessee, brother in laws Adam Joseph & Brian Alderman, two nieces Ashley & Erika Joseph of Brewster, and two nephews Zakk & Brendan Nickerson of Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his son Gregory.
A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
