Marcia was born in Reading PA in 1933. where she lived on a farm with her family and attended local schools. After high school Marcia attended the University of Pennsylvania graduating with a B.A. and a J.D.
She practiced law in Philadelphia, but decided her real calling was helping people with their mental health problems. She graduated from Women’s Medical College of Pennsylvania (later merged with U of PA). After graduation, Marcia had a private psychiatric practice in Manhattan.
Marcia moved to Orleans in 1985 where she continued in private practice until her retirement, due to a stroke, in 2022. In her spare time, she was an avid golfer, always working to improve her game.She loved traveling and football. Sundays would find her glued to TV watching as many NFL games as possible.
She was predeceased by her partner Donna J.Shellaberger, Esquire.
A Burial will be held at Orleans Cemetery on January 9 at 11am.
