Marge was born in 1934 in South Boston. She moved to Orleans from Florida some years ago.
She spent the majority of her life as a devoted mother of eight. She also worked in different fields throughout her life. Always with a smile on her face, she reveled in life as it came. With an outgoing personality, she enjoyed the company of many good friends and her beloved pet “Duke”. She had a passion for her bingo and also spending time with her family and friends. She will be sorely missed.
Marge is predeceased by her brothers and sisters and survived by her sons, Fred Gilbert, Walter Gilbert, Joey Gilbert, Richy Gilbert, J.R. Gilbert, and by her daughters Donna Bennett, Wonda Sprague, Maggie Watts, their spouses and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday August 9th from 1-3p.m. at the Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Park Way Orleans, Ma. 02653, with a memorial service immediately following at the Funeral Home.
