MarJorie Young

MarJorie (Burke) Young of Chatham, formerly of Wayland, passed away August 20, 2013. She was the dear daughter of the late Edward P. Burke and Ann Florence (MacDonald) Burke. MarJorie had been married to the late Paul Young. She was the devoted mother of Gail (Young) Burmeister and her husband Paul of Concord, and Paul Young and his wife Antoinette of Brewster. She was the loving sister of Edward Burke, Robert Burke and his late wife Agnes, Paul V. Burke and his wife Florence, Mary F. Brinn and her husband Walter, Evelyn R. Maguire and her husband William, and is predeceased by her late brother Walter Burke. She was the caring grandmother of Parke Burmeister and his wife Sarah Plimpton, Caitlin Badowski and her husband Nathan, Clinton Young, Taylor Burmeister and his fiancé Julia Heald, and Victoria Burmeister and was the proud great-grandmother of four great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by many cherished nieces and nephews.

A visitation will take place at Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans, on Thursday, August 22, from 4-7 PM. A memorial service will be held at Nickerson Funeral Home, Orleans on Friday, August 23, at 11:00AM.
