Mary B. Cacciola

Mary Barry Cacciola died December 30, in her home surrounded by family after a brief illness. She is survived by her daughter Marianne McCaffery, son-in-law Joseph McCaffery, a sister, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by Charles Cacciola, her husband for 53 years.

Mrs. Cacciola, born in Brooklyn, NY of immigrant parents, graduated from Good Counsel College with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She married and settled with Charles in Pleasantville, NY, and was an owner of the Pleasantville Jewelers for many years. They enjoyed retirement between Southbury, CT and Vero Beach, FL, where Mary was an avid golfer and won many local tournaments. They moved to Orleans in 2003.

Mary has been a devoted parishioner at St. Joan of Arc in Orleans volunteering for several committees including the thrift shop. She was very proud to be a dedicated volunteer at Salt Pond Visitor Center for Cape Cod National Seashore for nearly ten years.

She will be missed by her family, many friends and acquaintances, and those whose path she crossed. The family is grateful for the care she received from her nurse from Hope Hospice.

A Mass of Christian Burial is at 11 AM Friday, January 9, at St. Joan of Arc Church, Canal Road, Orleans. Burial is private.
