Mary's childhood began in St. Elizabeth's hospital, Brighton, MA. Angela came home from an Army base to deliver and Brendan came as soon as he could from Fort Dix, New Jersey and arrived just before baby Mary Angela was born. Mary is the oldest of six children. She attended the Elizabeth Seton High School in Wellesley, MA and went on to obtain her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Newton College of the Sacred Heart currently known as Boston College. Her love of Cape Cod began with 'Fun Summer Living' at the Carrolls' family second home in East Orleans. Mary was surrounded by cousins, cousins and more cousins. (Mary has over 50 first cousins!) Her love of the sea and enriching experiences on the Cape led her to settle in Orleans permantently with her family in 2005.

Mary was successful professionally having worked with emotionally challenged children as a Supervisor at the Nazareth Child Care Center, Jamaica Plain, MA. She worked as a Sales Representative for Hansen Knits (with her Dad) and onto Accounting and Bookkeeping in Boston as a Staff Accountant. With all this life skills preparation, Mary excelled at IBM. People first! At IBM, Mary was held in high esteem for her performance to date as Global Process Program Manager. IBM business travels just within the past 2 years took Mary to meet all her special people in Brazil, Dublin, Bratislava, Singapore, Japan and China.
Personally, Mary knew how to enjoy each day of her life. Her approach came with a smile and positive attitude--a kind word for all. Her pleasures were simple....cheeseburgers, french fries, and conversation....and most of all, the love of her Cape Cod Family. The presence of her sweet Caroline and Katie brought joy to her heart. She will remain within their hearts always. Mary was a talented woman who played the piano and loved to spontaneously sing a joyful show tune. Yes, "Every day was a holiday with Mary" (anyone recall the Mary Poppins musical?)
She cared deeply for her family and friends who bereave her untimely death. You may honor Mary's desire to give to others less fortunate by donating to the "Needy Fund" in her name noted above.
