Norman Hibbert

ORLEANS – Norman passed away peacefully at the age of 88 at Cape Cod Hospital on March 2, 2015 at 11:30PM.

He was born to Elizabeth and William Hibbert on August 8, 1926 in Paterson, NJ, and was the last surviving son of three brothers; Bill, Warren and Harold. NOrman attended Paterson schools and worked for Western Electric, Bell Labs and AT&T International, retiring in 1983 at age 57. He was married to Carolyn Lois Fanslau on August 11, 1956 and lived in Ridgewood, NJ. They moved to Massachusetts in 1983 living on Lt. Island, South Wellfleet then building in Orleans.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years; his daughter Susan Lange of Eastham, three grandsons; Colton, Dale and Mitchell; his son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Andrea Hibbert of Orleans with three grandchildren Nicholas, Samantha, and Sebastian.

Norm enjoyed spending time with his friends, family, and traveling. He loved boating, fishing and woodworking.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Brewster.

A visitation will be held on Saturday March 7, 2015 at the Trinity Lutheran Church 1883 Main St., Brewster, MA from 9:30 am ~ 10:30 AM, with a Funeral Service following.

Lunch will follow the service to give you a chance to visit with the family; then burial at 1:00 PM at the Orleans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, any memorials or donations can be made in his memory to Trinity Lutheran Church.
