

Born and raised in Orleans, a true native Cape Codder, Phyllis was a 1956 graduate from Orleans High School. She married her high school sweetheart and raised five children. Married for 65 years to William (Billy) Taylor who since passed away two years ago.
Phyllis worked for many years as a receptionist at Continental Cable now called Comcast and then went on to being the secretary for Cape & Island Appraisal company.
Phyllis loved county and western music and took many trips to Nashville with friends. She enjoyed family celebrations and loved knitting and when you could not find her in the department store you knew where she could be found in the yarn aisle.
She also, enjoyed sitting on her porch watching the birds and sipping on her Diet Coke. She loved all wildlife; especially her raccoon family and one once came into the doggie door looking for a snack. Her favorite beach “Skaket Beach” where she enjoyed growing up on and watching the beautiful sunsets. Back in her younger years, she loved Square Dancing, along with roller-skating at the Old Mill Hill Club, in Yarmouth.
Newly married she would go to Laconia Bike week with her husband and watch him race.
She enjoyed her trips to Maine visiting her brother and always enjoyed having Thanksgiving with her brother and Christmas shopping the next day with his wife Cindy.
Phyllis loved going for joy rides and looking for her swans at their favorite place, she loved scratch tickets, occasionally she would win big.
She was a member of the Rebekah’s Lodge.
Phyllis was a wonderful and caring person who was always there when she was needed.
Phyllis leaves a son Michael (Patti) Taylor of Orleans, Kim Craffey of Orleans, Tammy (Steve) Taylor Preu of Harwich and Brenda (John) Taylor Queenan of Orleans, and in-addition she was predeceased by her husband Billy and their son Kenny, her mother Norma Rogers and father Edward Rogers. She also leaves her grandchildren, Billy K Taylor, Jeremiah and Jasmine Taylor, Kelly and Stephen Craffey and her great grandchildren Danny Craffey, Deegan Duguette, Eleanor and Manny Craffey, Marc and Kauanni Austin and her brother’s Scott Rogers of Camden Maine, Peter Rogers of Maine and sister Bev Blair of Brunswick Maine also her beloved grand-fur babies: Zoey, Jack, Emmy, Stormy, Wanda and Zeus.
Also, her best friends, Celina, Jean, Nancy, Estelle and Carole.
