Scott Douglas Mattoon, born January 13, 1965, died March 26, 2023. Scott died after a long battle with cancer. Scott’s friend Steve Garran and friend and caregiver Melanie Fields were with him when he passed into the next world. Scott was predeceased by his dogs Priscilla, Chewbacca and Leia as well as many other pets over the years. Scott had a generous and compassionate soul who always saw the good in everybody. Scott is survived by his mother and stepfather Merilyn and James Delcourt, his caregiver Melanie, his longtime friend and protector Steve and his current fur companions Nero and Ruby. In honor of Scott, never judge a book by its cover and choose kindness every time.
