

She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Paul Thibert. She was born in Fitchburg, Ma and lived on Cape Cod for the past 40 years. She taught figure skating in Orleans for over 30 years and volunteered at the St Joan of Arc Church Thrift Shop and for the Pan Mass Challenge for over 20 years.
She is predeceased by her 3 sisters, Rita Ainaire, Irene Kane and Sr Margaret Therese and 1 brother Joe Chabot. She is survived by her 3 brothers Andy, Richard and Edgar Chabot.
She leaves behind her 3 daughters, Laura (Harry) Watling from Dennis, Pegge (Jack) Welch from Marshfield and Chris (Tim) Calkins from Brewster and her 5 sons, Paul (Heidi) from Colorado, Peter from Florida, Tom (Carol) from Harwich, Jim (Rita) from New York and Joe (Amanda) from Marblehead.
She also leaves behind her 16 grandchildren: Chris O’Riordan (Chris Macort), Rick (Melanie) Sylvester, TJ (Tonya) Sylvester, Michelle (Glen) Gregory, Jenn Welch, Ben Calkins, Brad (Stephanie) Calkins, Stephanie Thibert, Timmy Thibert, Melissa Harrell, Angela Thibert (Justin Betely), Sean Thibert (Brittany Hannon), Lance, Katrina, Paige and Matthew Thibert.
Also her 16 great grandchildren: Jack, Charlie and Kate O’Riordan, Sean and Brooke Williams, Cameron, Ross and Evan Sylvester, Trinity, Dezmond, Ivory, Brianna, Gabriel, Taydea, Dayanaira and Tyler.
She will be most remembered for her unconditional love of her family and friends as well as her love of teaching figure skating to hundreds of young skaters on the Cape.
Calling hours are at Nickerson Funeral Home in Orleans Friday Feb 6 from 4-7pm.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday Feb 7 at 10am at Saint Joan of Arc Church in Orleans. Burial will be private.
A celebration of her life will held at the Old Colony Clubhouse in Orleans following the church service.
Donations may be made in her memory to the St Joan of Arc Church in Orleans.
