

Winnifrede Pearl Langlais, age 90, of Brewster MA passed away on Monday, November 20th at the Wingate of Harwich after battling dementia. She was born on December 22, 1926 in Malden MA. She was the daughter of the late Frank E. Rogers and Pearl Davis Rogers. She was predeceased by her son Leonard E. Langlais who passed away earlier this year. She was the wife of the late Leo E. Langlais, whom she was married to for 38 years.
Winnifrede took a couple of trips later in life but Alaska was her favorite destination. Winnie was a wonderful seamstress who loved making dolls as well as handmade baby sweaters. Cooking was her specialty though...macaroni and cheese, salmon croquettes and butter horns. Like her son Lenny she loved the beach, Nauset Beach was one of her favorites, as well as having many memories on Revere Beach. She would have been recognized by many as she worked at Bradlees in Orleans for 18 years. Winnie was a strong believer in manners and old school etiquette. She also entertained everyone with her quick witted humor! Winnie was a wonderful loving mother and a strong independent woman who will be greatly missed.
Winnifrede lived in Orleans MA from 1964 until 2003. Winnie was a member for many years at the Bible Alliance Church located in Brewster, MA. She is survived by her 2 daughters: Sandra J. Ritchie from Brewster, MA, Christine E. Wilson and her husband Rick Viprino, from Woburn, MA and her son David Langlais from Rockland, MA. She leaves behind 7 grandchildren, Seth, Cory, Charles, Christie, Emmanuelle, Greg, and Aaron. She leaves behind 7 great grandchildren. She leaves behind a niece, Dale Sipple of Wellfleet, MA.
