I remember babysitting baby Roni in the Bronx 55 years ago. Such a sweet, cute, little person, who grew into a beautiful, vivacious, funny woman. She will be sorely missed. My heartfelt condolences go out to all of you.

There are once in a lifetime friends and friendships that transcend the years and the miles. Roni was that to me. My childhood memories are filled with escapades beginning in elementary school. From the day we set her bedroom floor on fire (we heard that cologne was flammable and made rings on the floor that we lit with a match) We may have put the blame on a younger sibling, apologize for that. To smoking behind Bell's Drugs in our Catholic school uniforms... sledding in winter and the carnival in the summer at W.T. Grant's parking lot. After our families moved, we lost touch in our 20's and Roni was the one person I wanted to reconnect with but I didn't know where to begin.Last year, thru FB, I was thrilled to not only find Roni; but talk to her and it was as though we could pick up where we left off almost 30 yrs ago. I never got the chance to see her again, to hug her again and our plans to reunite were put on hold when she became sick. But with each phone call, still upbeat, cheerful and hilarious. Your light shines forever, now, I'm certain of that and I know that there's a wee bit more mischief going on in the heavens. Love and miss you, Peelball.

I am glad that she isn't suffering anymore but I am sad too that she is not here for us to be with. I will always remember her as the one I called to ask her about one of the most intimate questions ever after having our first child. I will miss you Aunt Roni.
