

Beatrice O'Hara Bellows, 91, of Holly Hill, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, surrounded by her family. Bea was the eldest of 11 siblings, born to John and Zayda O' Hara in Roxbury Township on March 3, 1921. She graduated in 1939, from Roxbury Central School. She married her loving husband, Vincent, in 1942, just one week before he entered the Army and had to go to Atlantic City. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary earlier this month. During World War II she lived on several Army bases with her husband where she usually worked in the PX and the base medical facility. Vince and Bea moved to Florida in 1974, from Livingston Manor, NY, they lived in several towns in Florida, before finally settling in Holly Hill. She and Vince raised five children, Bea began working at Piccadilly in the Volusia Mall at the age of 65 to stay busy, she went on to work there for 18 years becoming a fixture and forming many great friendships. Bea was very active she loved sewing, social networking, organizing photos, baking, genealogy and family reunions, but most of all she adored her great-grandchildren. Bea is survived by her husband, Vincent Bellows; daughter, Maria Shaver (Frank) of Livingston Manor, NY; sons, David (Janet) of Ormond Beach, FL., Phillip, also of Livingston Manor, NY; brother, Richard O'Hara of Mashpee, MA.; three sisters, Betty Moore and Donna Hull, both of Oneonta, NY and Carrol Serrano of Port Ewen; four grandchildren, Thomas Harris (Celeste) of Port Orange, FL., Geoffrey Harris of Tampa, FL., Matthew Harris (Alicia) of Ormond, FL., and Phillip Bellows of Livingston Manor; 6 great-grandchildren. Bea was predeceased by her two eldest sons, Vincent and Thomas Bellows; sisters,Katherine, Rosetta, Patricia, Mary, Phyllis; and brother, John. Bea will be deeply missed by her family, friends and neighbors of the Charter Oaks community in Holly Hill, Fla.
