Betty “Bad Betty” Bowen 69 passed away at home in Holly Hill, FL on February 13, 2013. Betty was born in Andalusia, AL to her parents Gasten Charles and Eula Mae Stephens on January 24, 1944. She moved to the area in the 50’S. Betty worked for 33 years at Gene’s Steakhouse where she came to know many NASCAR racers, there she met Darrell Waltrip. She and Darrell became friends and he nicknamed her “Bad Betty”. She loved her dogs, slot machines and Lotto. Betty is survived by her 3 sons, Scott, Keith and Kevin (Donna) all of Holly Hill, 5 grandchildren, Lacy, Jesse, Billy, Sarah and Dallas, 2 sisters, Nellie Gilley (Roy) and Jan Murray (Wayne). Preceded in death by her loving husband of 30 years Clyde Bowen, Mother and Father, Gasten Charles and Eula Mae Stephens and brother Johnny Stephens.
