Cherie moved to Florida in the late 1970’s from Tennessee. She was always trying to serve the Lord. Her amazing faith and love for Jesus filled her heart and she shared that love with those around her. Cherie loved her grand-dogs, Yoda and Buster. Feeding, walking and caring for them brought her great joy. She also loved her guinea pigs. No one could ask for a better guinea pig lover. You could find her watching the Young and The Restless while holding her precious guinea pig Stormy. You could say that Cherie loved all creatures big and small. She read her bible every single morning, loved watching shows with family in the evening, loved playing games with us, and she loved to color. She never missed a chance to go to Bealls, and would spend an hour in the little boys section, looking for items for her grandkids. Cherie was giving, loving, caring, and loved to laugh.
Cherie Tibbs is survived by her daughter Tori Warren, son-in-law Greg Warren; two grandchildren, Alex and Gaige; her best friend, who is like a sister to her, Debbie Tims; her boyfriend of eighteen years Roger Wolford, her beloved cousin Randy Craig, wife Barbara Craig; her cousin Tracy Worlds and his wife Susan. She is loved my many cousins, including Celina Sumara; her uncle Dolan Craig, and his wife Marilyn. Cherie will be dearly missed by all of her family in Tennessee, along with many friends, who love her dearly.
A celebration of life funeral service for Cherie will be held Saturday, May 16, 2020, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N Nova Rd, Ormond Beach, Florida 32174.
