Edwin R. Murray

Edwin was born on January 13, 1922 in Staten Island, NY to the late Russell and Anna Murray.

In 1944 Edwin married his late wife Patricia while making a career as a lineman for the New York Telephone Company before retiring to the Palm Coast Area. Edwin served our Country proudly in the United States Army during World War II. He was proud to belong to the Masons and the Shriners.

Left to cherish his memory is his is his son Robert and his wife Lori, his grand-daughter Tricia D’Angelo and her husband Anthony, and his 2 great grand-daughters Alyssa and Adrianna.

A visitation is scheduled for Thursday February 9, 2017 from 12:00 ~ 2:00 P.M. followed by a service to celebrate Edwin’s life at 2:00 P.M. in the Oceanside Room of the Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, located at 548 North Nova Road, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. An entombment will immediately follow the service at Volusia Memorial Park, located at 550 North Nova Road, Ormond Beach, FL 32174.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Edwin’s memory to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in Tampa, FL. Condolences may be shared with the family by visiting www.volusiamemorialfunerals.com
