Duke was born January 10th, 1932 in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania to Francis (Sr.) and Hazel (Boes) Burley. The family, along with his brother Richard, moved to Daytona Beach in the 1950's. Duke graduated from Seabreeze High School and served honorably in the U.S. Air Force. He was a lifelong mechanic and car enthusiast, enjoying both building and racing stock cars around the local dirt tracks.
Duke is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dolores "Totsie" Lefler, his son Joseph and daughter
Carrie, daughter‐in‐law Pamela and grandchildren Kalypso and Dominique Burley, and Scott and
Amanda Benoit.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday August 21 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Rd. Ormond Beach, FL 32174.
