Fred L. Berry, Sr.

Fred Lee Berry, 80, passed away June 4, 2012 in Daytona Beach, FL. Fred was born August 22, 1931 in Staunton, VA to Alfred and Margie Berry. He graduated from Middlebrook High School. Fred worked as a farmer in his youth in Virginia and after moving to Jacksonville, FL, he then became an appliance repairman. Mr. Berry retired as Clerk of the Court in Daytona Beach. He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Fred loved to watch sports, his favorites included baseball and NASCAR he also enjoyed hunting, especially for deer.Left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife of 60 years Helen, sons Fred, Jr. (Kim) and Tommy, brother Alfred, Jr. (Amelia) and Nephew Steve, two grandchildren Laci Ann and Wade Lee, and many friends and extended family. Visitation will be held from 6:00PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday June 6, 2012 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, FL 32174. A funeral service will be held at 10:00AM Thursday June 7, 2012 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church 338 Ocean Shore Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. Interment will follow at Volusia Memorial Park.
