

Loving husband of Mary and father of Jerry (Lin), Diane Hay (David), Kathy Fagan (Richie), Jim (Claudia) and TinaWizi; grandchildren, James (Sara), Chris and Brennan (Hollie) Hay, Melanie Blackwell (Ken), Shannon and Taija Britt. He is also blessed with four great grandchildren and numerous step grand children and great grandchildren. George graduated from the Naval Air Training Center, Pensacola, Florida in 1945 and served active duty as a Naval Aviator and then reserve duty in the Naval Reserve until he retired as Lieutenant Commander in October, 1963. In 1947, he was employed with FAA Air Traffic Control in Miami until he was hired as a pilot with Eastern Airlines in 1951, retiring in 1984 as Captain on the L-1011 TriStar. He is a member of Retired Eastern Pilots Association (REPA), Military Officers of America (MOAA) and Quiet Birdmen (QB) Orlando Hangar. Funeral service Friday, September 16 at 1:00 p.m., Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 600 South Nova Road, Ormond Beach, FL 32174.
