Gerald D. Cowley, age 83, passed away peacefully February 6, 2015 at his home in Ormond Beach, FL. Jerry was born October 2, 1931 in Great Bend, KS to the late Stone and Pauline (Lillich) Cowley. He attended Kansas State University for just one semester before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Once Jerry returned he finished his degree in Architecture and was a partner at J.H.P. Architecture and Planning in Denver, CO for 30 years until his retirement in 1996.
He and wife Fran moved to the area in 2003 from Denver, CO; they enjoyed traveling, movies, golfing and eating out together. Jerry’s interests included sailing, reading, golfing, building and flying radio controlled aircraft.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife Frances Cowley of 28 years. He will also be missed deeply by his son Craig Cowley of Lakewood, CO, daughter Tara Park of Boulder, CO and grandchildren Stone, Isaac, Jamison and Lilly.
