James W. Jones Sr.

James W. Jones Sr., of Ormond Beach, FL, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016 a Halifax Health Hospice, Port Orange, FL. He was born in Colliers, WV on February 6, 1934 a son of the late James and Dora (Taylor) Jones and he worked 42 years as a crane operator at Weirton Steel in Weirton, WVa . James was a former member of the First Methodist Church, Ormond Beach and currently attended N. Peninsula Baptist Church, Ormond Beach. He enjoyed listening to Karaoke, and going to the senior “Meet and Greet” in Ormond Bea h. He also was a member of the Moose Lodge. Most of all he loved spending time with his family they were most important to him. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, James W. Jones, Jr., Kenneth C. Jones; daughters Sandra C. Kubik and Jennifer S. Muntifering; sister, Rosella Popyack and 6 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Martha M. Jones (6-24-02), 3 brothers and 8 sisters. The family will receive friends Monday, May 23, 2016 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 548 N Nova Rd. Ormond Beach, Monday May 23, 2016 from 6-8pm. Funeral services and burial will be in New Cumberland, WV.
