Jann Larned

Jann Larned, 77, of Deland passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023, after a brief battle with cancer. A Casual Graveside service at Lake Helen/Cassadaga Cemetery will be held at a later date, where her remains will be placed alongside her late husband, Charles. Jann was born in New Haven, CT, and has resided in Central Florida for many years. She was the daughter of Joseph and Janet Luyckx.

Jann was a greeter for Sam's Club for several years, and enjoyed reading (especially murder mysteries), word searches, and puzzle games in her spare time when she wasn't spoiling her 6 grandchildren. An independent and strong woman, she is survived by her daughter, Nicole Steinbach; son, Geoffrey Larned; daughter in law, Barbara Kania; 6 beloved grandchildren: Hunter, Annabelle, Tyler, Logan, Brantley, and Layla; and one sister, Barbara Reynolds. She was greeted by those who predeceased her, including her parents, late husband Charles, and brother Ray Luyckx.
